Your information and your choices
This notice explains how Urban Farming uses information when you create an account, contact us, or request a growing-space assessment. It is written for the current early service and will be updated as the service changes.
Information we collect
Account details include your name, email address, and sign-in information. An assessment request may also include your phone number, suburb and city, space type, available area, sunlight, water access, growing interests, and notes you choose to provide. Please do not include sensitive personal information in notes.
Why we use it
We use these details to create and secure your account, review and follow up on assessment requests, provide requested growing support, and operate and improve the service. We do not use assessment details to promise that a site will be approved, earn income, or receive produce.
Service providers and storage
Information is available to authorised Urban Farming operators and service providers needed to host the application, store records, authenticate accounts, or deliver requested email. The production application is hosted in Google Cloud's us-central1 region in the United States. We do not sell personal information.
Retention and your rights
We keep information while it is needed to operate your account or handle your request, and longer where records must be kept for legitimate operational or legal reasons. You may ask to access or correct your information, object to processing, or request deletion where applicable. Contact us at admin@stratsol.co.za. You may also complain to the South African Information Regulator.
Marketing choices
Creating an account or requesting an assessment does not subscribe you to promotional email. Newsletter updates require a separate signup, and you can ask us to stop them at any time.
